Almost Isn't Enough

Good work to everyone for making it as far as we could. But it wasn't enough once again. To all those teams who didn't make it don't think it's the end. I'm not giving up on mine and you shouldn't either. It's time to take things into our own hands if it's not cutting out for us.
Good luck to those making it through and to every team from our Toyama-- I hope you crush the competition.

Dai-chan... thanks for the other night. Sorry you had to see me like that especially before you had a big day ahead of you. Good luck, though I know you boys don't need it.
Text to Hanamiya
Hanamiya-kun... I have an idea and I know it might be crazy that I want to roll with it so soon but I just can't sit still while games are still being played. I know you and the rest of the team no doubt feels the same way.
Text to Midorima
Midorin... I have a proposition for you and your team. Though I suppose we should ask our coaches too but... no reason we can't get the ball rolling ourselves.
[ooc: Momoi is going to set up a series of training/friendly matches with DMDU and any other teams that don't make it and want to use the time to practice. Since they were just going to play if they continued to win anyway there's no use in wallowing over it when the competition is free to practice too!]

Date: 2016-02-24 01:19 am (UTC)And I don't know about hellish... not yet anyway. I don't think any of you are ready or willing to do drills. So instead I was thinking of some friendly matches with DMDU~

Date: 2016-02-24 01:40 am (UTC)Not yet? Behind that angelic smile really is a demon. ... I'm down for that. I'm sure the rest of the team will love the idea. It's the best method of practice. Has Midorima agreed to it?
Re: [TEXT]
Date: 2016-02-24 01:47 am (UTC)A demon who gets results~ Much rather be that than a pushover of an angel thank you. I'm still waiting to hear from Midorin but I know this loss has him fuming as well.
Re: [TEXT]
Date: 2016-02-24 02:32 am (UTC)Spoken like the words of a true champion ready to crush their opponents. I like the way you think. Don't really blame the guy. Had no idea that ... whatever the school's name was, is so strong.
Re: [TEXT]
Date: 2016-02-24 02:38 am (UTC)Yes... it's quite odd I've never heard of these schools before either. I've got a lot of work ahead on gathering data for next year. But I'll save that for then... for now it's time to focus on us and our next opponent. I think you can learn a lot from Midorin and vice versa.
Re: [TEXT]
Date: 2016-02-26 02:44 am (UTC)You too? That's bizarre. Never even heard of any of the players, either. Yeah, with strong schools like these popping up, we need all the data we can get. Oh? I'll be looking forward to playing against him. Come to think of it, I don't believe I've ever played against Midorima in a match.
Re: [TEXT]
Date: 2016-02-26 03:13 am (UTC)Yes I find it quite curious... but that's what happens when new players come in I suppose. Luck of the draw on making it further as well when you have a weak team one year and a strong one another. Don't worry I'll make sure none of that information passes us by again.
I'm excited to see you two face off. It'll be interesting to see how your and Midorin's styles clash on the court.
Re: [TEXT]
Date: 2016-02-26 04:01 am (UTC)True, new players just come in and are unexpectedly really good. I believe in you. We won't let anyone catch us off guard again.
It'll definitely be interesting for sure. I'll be very cautious of his three point shots.
Re: [TEXT]
Date: 2016-02-26 04:27 am (UTC)Next time we'll be the team with all the surprises.
There's more than just that to worry about but don't worry you'll see that for yourself on the court.
Re: [TEXT]
Date: 2016-02-29 01:39 am (UTC)Wonderful words. Yes, we'll be the one no one suspects of getting far.
Oh? You have me very intrigued. I'm looking forward to it.

Date: 2016-02-24 01:59 am (UTC)Not that you get to see, I know your team made it through. Sure you have the time to cheer on a rival school?

Date: 2016-02-24 02:06 am (UTC)I'm cheering on everyone. It's thrilling to see everyone evolve and get stronger with every wins and losses.

Date: 2016-02-24 02:08 am (UTC)I know what you mean though. I'm still a bit torn on leaving and not getting that data I wanted but it just wouldn't feel the same unless I was facing them myself.

Date: 2016-02-24 02:11 am (UTC)That is very true. The feeling of loss really does that to you, it pushes you harder. I wouldn't be surprised if the currently winning team goes to the bottom of the pit and those who lost comes out on top on the next year's tournaments.
